This afternoon I took many photohgraphs from the laguna and the towers. From the time of each of the images I can see that this one was the first after the sun went out of my view. The last one before it went out is beautiful too, but more complex.
For this image I used a graduated 2 stops ND filter inclined to the right together with a circular polarizer and tripod. The image was taken with a Canon 10D, 6Mpixel only.
The post-processing of this image shows the evolution of Photoshop. I have many versions of the final processed image dating from 2004, 2008, 2014 and now 2017. The newest ones are always better than the old ones. Comparing the 2004 result to the 2017 one is a joke.
For this post I will show you the image RAW and the processed RAW, both before Photoshop.

Pure RAW

Processed RAW

As you can see above, around 80% of my processing is done in Camera RAW and in Photoshop I use actions to run my processing routine. It just finishes the image, nothing special there. For this image though, I included one last step, using Nik Color Efex Pro to warm the overall image with Skylight filter (15%)  and added some Sunlight filter (15% light) to the foreground only that gave an orange diffuse light over the rocks.
